Overview

The Project Manager will actively manage the delivery of exciting new consumer-facing functionality to the J.Crew Group brand websites (JCrew.com, Factory.Jcrew.Com, Madewell.com) via both large scale initiatives and short-burst enhancements. This individual will manage both the day-to-day scrum ceremonies, as well as scheduling and participating in backlog refinement, scope discussions, design sessions, and sprint planning. This role ultimately serves as a liaison between the Business / Product teams as well as Engineering, QA, and Web Operations. As this role is designated for mid-level talent, this individual will likewise receive training and mentorship from senior team members and leadership across both their direct team, and cross-functional partners. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the building and implementation of enhanced web experiences for all 3 J.Crew Group websites – Jcrew.com, Factory.Jcrew.com, and Madewell.com.
  • Where needed, this role will flex outside of digital, as well as support organizational peak readiness and execution.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, assist in impediment removal, and work closely with Product partners for backlog refinement activities, sprint planning, and overall delivery.
  • Ability to flex between Scrum master duties and Agile methodologies, and pivot to traditional waterfall delivery as dictated by Project needs.
  • Support the front-end and back-end Code Release process by working closely with Tech Operations on moving stories from development, to QA, and to final build.
  • Partner with QA, Engineering, DevOps, and PMO to improve workflows and processes that empower a streamlined CI/CD process
  • Act as a support for site issue resolution in both production and lower environments.
  • Work closely with the business and tech to enable the creation and application of A/B tests for new site experience while supporting the evaluation of test results and customer interactions.
  • Partner with vendors to introduce new integrations and functionalities, while ensuring existing products and tools continue to meet business needs.
  • Support the engineering team by creating temporary website features and applying bug fixes in between release cycles utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to make sure business and creative requirements are applied.
  • Partner with Creative Technologists as well as other cross functional teams to coordinate overlapping operational efforts.
  • Ensure all work is tracked in our workflow tool, JIRA, and collaborate via multiple software tools
  • Manage budget for team including quarterly CEA submissions, accruals, forecasts, and invoice review

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A true team player looking to improve experiences for customers as well as their business and technical team members
  • 3-5 years of relevant eCommerce experience

Preferred:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science backgrounds is preferred but not required
  • Agile and Waterfall delivery methodology working knowledge
  • Experience in software workflow tools like JIRA/Confluence and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
  • Desire to evolve the overall operations landscape, documenting new guidelines, standards, and strategies
  • Thrives in a quick-turn, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, business partners, and varying team structures

Salary Range: $86,400.00 - $108,000.00

The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’sgeographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
